Arts & Culture

The McLean community is bustling with active community organizations, established to allow residents and visitors the experience of area cultural opportunities. Original, high-quality theatrical productions, professional classical music presentations, and art exhibits are available year-round.

Local music, drama and arts groups include the McLean Symphony, the McLean Theatre Alliance, the McLean Orchestra, World Children’s Choir, C.A.S.T. in McLean, Emerson Gallery at the McLean Project for the Arts, TaBois-Bonhomme Galerie d'Art, Great Falls Art Center, Alden Theatre, Interact Theatre Company, Abbot Gallery and the McLean Project for the Arts.

With Washington, DC offering a buffet of world-class entertainment and educational options (such as the National Symphony Orchestra, the Washington Opera, the Kennedy Center and professional sports teams), McLean’s residents and visitors have a wealth of entertainment options available. To find out what’s going on in the area, contact the McLean Community Center at 703-790-0123.

In 2007 MPA, the Greater McLean Chamber of Commerce, the McLean Community Center, the Fairfax County Park Authority and several other individual and corporate sponsors joined together to present Artfest—a community art festival in McLean Central Park featuring mini galleries, live entertainment, vendors and more. Watch our website for updates on this event for 2008!
