    Objective: Community members and professionals come together to identify local services and resources on aging. Our goal is to recognize and maximize exposure of the many local resources here in McLean.

  • Founder: Liza Kahn, is a home care specialist with Home Care Assistance. Liza received her Master’s degree in Senior Housing Administration and bachelor’s in Health Systems Management. She combined her graduate studies with over 6 years of professional working experience in senior care operations. As the administrator at Home Care Assistance, McLean VA she consults with families and professionals to arrange appropriate care for older adults. Liza has a dynamic skill set and experience in a verity of senior care settings. Her skills and interests include strategic health care planning, consultation, and education. She also has extensive experience in managing client relationships and working to ensure safety and satisfied.

    Co-Founder: Dr. Melissa Yunes earned both her Masters and Doctorate of Audiology from the University of Pittsburgh, and her Bachelors of Arts in Communicative Disorders from Indiana University.   She is a certified Audiologist in both Maryland and Virginia and a fellow with the American Academy of Audiology and the Academy of Doctors of Audiology. 

    Dr. Yunes specializes in adult and geriatric diagnostics, and is highly trained in the selection, fitting, and verification of digital hearing aid technology.  Her approach to helping patients centers on taking the time to explain their hearing loss, understand how it impacts their lives, and how hearing aid technology can help. She truly desires to help her patients live life to the fullest and enjoy the sounds and experiences that they have been missing.

    Co-Founder: Nancy Fiedelman is an ElderCare Consultant with Aynsley Group Ltd, specializing in individualized consultation to adults with aging relatives and to older adults planning for their future needs.  A former medical social worker, she brings a broad knowledge of the multitude of issues confronting family members as they strive to make informed decisions to accommodate the changing needs of their aging family members.  In addition to her consulting practice, she is actively involved in community organizations with related missions, serving on the Fairfax County Long Term Care Coordinating Council, and the Executive Committee of the Jewish Council for the Aging of Greater Washington (JCA).
