Founded in 1963, PRS, Inc. is an award-winning nonprofit organization that has transformed the lives of thousands of people in Northern Virginia living with mental illness, substance use disorders, mild intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, or any combination of these. PRS provides intensive skills training and supports to improve the ability of local community members in need to live independently, maintain housing, remain in the community and out of the psychiatric hospital, and engage in community activities, such as employment, volunteerism, and educational pursuits.
