About the Speaker
As President & CEO at ArtsFairfax, Stuart Holt brings a passion for the arts and their ability to build and celebrate community. Responsible for overseeing all facets of the organization, Stuart drives the mission, fundraising, operations, and engagement with the board of directors. Stuart is a strong leader within the arts and community engagement sector, making him a dynamic advocate for the entire arts and cultural landscape of Fairfax County. He joined ArtsFairfax in April 2024.
His professional experience includes 11 years as the Director of Learning and Engagement for the Metropolitan Opera Guild, where he oversaw all educational programming. Previously, Stuart was Director of Education and Outreach for Nashville Opera and Director of Youth Opera Programs for Sarasota Opera. He has also served on the music faculty of both Florida State University and James Madison University.
Stuart holds a Bachelors Degree in Music Education from St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, MN, and a Masters in Opera Production from Florida State University.
